Asian Americans and Creative Music Legacies,” Critical Studies in Improvisation / Etudes Critiques en Improvisation, v. 1 n. 3, March 2006. [This is an historical article that came from a chapter in my PhD dissertation. It details a creative music scene built by Asian American improvisers in the 1970s and 1980s who drew on and repurposed the work of African American creative music collectives founded in the 1960s.]
