Instituto Contemporáneo de Música de B.C.!

I recently enjoyed visiting the Instituto Contemporáneo de Música de Baja California, a wonderfully creative community music school in Ensenada, Baja California, México. It was inspiring to see what Ivan Trujillo, Martha Rolón and their colleague teachers have built there, and I had fun working with these high school students who are starting to explore jazz and improvisation. I’m hoping that in the coming years we can grow more connections over time between ICMBC and our students at UCI and across the border region, including through our ongoing Cauces Sónicos project.
